Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Research Positions
The University of Central Florida’s Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) has a number of openings in hydrogen and fuel cell technology areas.
1- Research Scientists (3) to conduct cutting edge research in the areas of PEM fuel cells, electrochemical hydrogen production, and electrocatalysis related to energy applications.  Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, minimum of one year of experience and a proven record of scholarly and funded research. Starting salary commensurate with experience, $60,000 - $70,000/year – negotiable.
2- Laboratory Manager to upkeep and operate FSEC’s analytical instruments (GC-MS/MS, TG-MS, DSC, FTIR, TPD-MS, UV-vis, HPLC, IC, BET, PCT and an assortment of GCs and optical microscopes). The position requires a minimum of BS in chemistry or a closely related field and three years of relevant experience. The ability to interpret data and computer skills is a plus. Starting salary commensurate with experience, $40,000/year - negotiable.
3- Postdoctoral fellows (2) to conduct research on PEM fuel cells, thermochemical conversion of biomass to liquid fuels, catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, reactor design and modeling. Â Good communication skills, ability to work with a multidisciplinary team and familiarity with the chemical analytical instruments (GC-MS, FTIR, DSC, TGA-DTA) is a plus. Starting salary commensurate with experience $50,000/year - negotiable
