Miami University is seeking a competent and poised individual to manage housekeeping staff in five or more Residence Halls.Responsibilities include assigning,training and supervising employees; compiling, preparing and maintaining employee payroll information and statistical data reports. Other duties include initiating work orders for repair of buildings, fixtures and furniture; assuring compliance with maintenance,safety,and security regulations; inspecting student rooms and assessing damages when necessary; working closely with Residence Hall Advisors. Resolving student/staff concerns; and providing assistance with procedures and projects as needed. Responsible for coordinating weekend staffing assignments, planning and facilitating training and development sessions for weekend supervisory staff and completing employee performance reviews. Ensuring the highest level quality and customer service from staff and monitoring production and efficiency levels. Working closely with summer conference groups to coordinate facility needs. Performing other related duties as required or assigned.The position is full time Monday through Friday from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. in fall,winter,and spring months and from 7:30a.m. to 4:30p.m. in summer months. Work schedules are subject to variations and changes. Qualifications: Applicants should have the relevant background and proven skills necessary to perform the required duties including demonstrated customer service and problem-solving skills; ability to work harmoniously with a diverse group of individuals; experience with computer systems, excellent written and oral communication skills,and other administrative duties. Supervisory or management experience is required. An Associate or Bachelor?s degree is preferred. Established records of employment performance(including attendance)that meet all the applicable University and Departmental standards are mandatory.
