Timber Ridge Center, an affiliate of The Menta Group® ( http://www.thementagroup.org), serves Special Education students living in the Bellingham, Washington area. Our expanding program development and student population demands our hiring additional teachers.
Job Summary:
The High School Teacher is responsible for providing individual and classroom content to fully implement the adopted curriculum in a three period class schedule. The Teacher is responsible for all activities for the High School students in an Alternative Education setting.
Major duties of the teacher would include;Evaluate and identify student in content areas.Develop measurable goals and objectives specific to each child’s unique needs in accordance with state standards.Provide remediation strategies commensurate with each student’s IEP.Work collaboratively with other staff members.Communicate regularly with parents, staff and other service providers.Provide direct interventions to students using a variety of service delivery options.Attend in-service and staff training activities relative to communication disorders and literacy interventions.
