Park Forest Academy, an affiliate of The Menta Group® ( http://www.thementagroup.org/), provides educational services intended to meet both the developmental and individual learning needs of students challenged by severe behavioral, social-emotional, and learning difficulties. Within this framework, students are encouraged to develop both their cognitive and social-emotional skills. Classrooms are designed to be active learning environments where young people have the chance to experience educational and behavioral success on a daily basis. As a teacher in our school, you will be working in an atmosphere where data-driven decision making and teamwork is the norm. We are currently seeking a Science Teacher for the 2008-2009 school year.
Qualifications:
Type 9 or Type 10 Illinois Teaching Certificate – LBS01 preferredAbility to teach a self-contained classroom within all basic instructional areasAbility to work a regular school day and the ability to work with youth with emotional/behavioral/academic difficultiesEmployment is contingent upon a background check, approved driving record, employment physical and drug screen.Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply.
