Grievance & Appeals Manager

Provides legal services as a practicing counsel, which includes interpreting laws, rules and regulations, as well as advising company personnel on legal rights, obligations, and privileges. This position is also accountable for preparing and submitting regulatory documents, including new state applications, state annual reports, and re-approval applications.Requirements: Juris Doctorate or related education from an accredited law school required.Proven experience as an attorney, which includes interpreting laws, rules and regulations, as well as advising company personnel on legal rights, obligations and privileges.Proven experience preparing and submitting regulatory documents strongly preferred.Must be able to demonstrate a high level of analytical and strategic thinking to provide legal counsel and guidance to the organization, as described above.Must possess the ability to convey a professional image and effectively represent the organization as appropriate in its relationship with the legal, education, business, and government communities.Ability to communicate complex and technical information to persons with non-legal related backgrounds.Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate organizational policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations to company personnel, as described above.Must have a working knowledge of personal software packages to prepare correspondence, spreadsheets, and reports.Must be results oriented and able to manage several projects simultaneously.
