Full & Part Time Instructors Needed (Various Disciplines)

Miller-Motte College believes that its mission is to prepare students with the essential career business and computer skills, medical assisting skills, alternative medical therapy skills, and knowledge necessary to secure initial employment. Now part of Delta Career Education Corporation, we are continuing our long history of providing excellence in career education at our new campus in Raleigh, North Carolina.We are currently accepting resumes for immediate hire for the following positions: Medical Instructors (full and/or part-time), Computer Instructors (full and/or part-time), General Education Instructors (full and/or part-time), Cosmetology Instructors (full and/or part-time). Instructor positions are available for day and evening. We are also accepting applications for anticpated future positions in the areas of network administration/network security, business, and legal (Paralegal & Criminal Justice) instructors. The details of each current position opening are outlined below:ALL INSTRUCTORSDuties: The Instructor is responsible for providing students with the skills and knowledge necessary to gain employment in their training field. Every instructor plays an important dual role as a member of the instructional staff and as an advisor to students. Instructors are responsible for maintaining professional competence, for keeping personal knowledge current, for participating in departmental and campus-wide activities, for developing a positive and active learning environment in the classroom for students, and for delivering and assessing established program competencies and outcomes. To accomplish this goal, all instructors utilize their talents, skills, and abilities in a coordinated and consistent team effort under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Education, Program Director, or his/her designee.Requirements: Medical Instructors - Instructors are expected to have appropriate academic and experiential qualifications. A minimum of a Master’s Degree is required in a health-related field and/or significant experience in addition to industry certifications. Must be motivated, dedicated, professional, possess integrity, and have an enthusiasm for teaching and helping others. Computer Instructors - Instructors are expected to have appropriate academic and experiential qualifications. A minimum of a Master’s Degree is required and/or significant experience in addition to industry certifications (i.e., MCP, MCSE, CCNA). Must be motivated, dedicated, professional, possess integrity, and have an enthusiasm for teaching and helping others. General Education Instructors - General Ed Instructors are expected to have appropriate academic and experiential qualifications. A minimum of a Master’s Degree is required in the appropriate teaching discipline (i.e., Psychology, Mathematics, etc) or a Master’s Degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline. Must be motivated, dedicated, professional, possess integrity, and have an enthusiasm for teaching and helping others. Cosmetology Instructors - Instructors are expected to have appropriate academic and experiential qualifications. A minimum of a high school diploma is required. Applicant must hold a cosmetologist license issued by the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners. Applicant must have a minimum of five years full-time work experience or successfully completed at least 800 hours of a cosmetology teacher curriculum at an approved cosmetic art school. You must have passed or be able to pass an examination conducted by the Board for cosmetology teachers. Familiarity with NC Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners and Pivot Point standards desirable, but not required. Must be motivated, dedicated, professional, possess integrity, and have an enthusiasm for teaching and helping others.
