Financial Analyst
We have an immediate opening in our Finance Department for a Financial Analyst. This full time position will support and assist the Controller with budgeting by collecting and compiling financial information from various departments at the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The Financial Analyst will also: build and maintain reports within reporting system, compile and analyze financial information for the organization as needed, develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, Performa, cash projections, and presentations, create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately, identify trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to management, and perform financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. This position reports to the Controller and will also assist CFO and Controller with financial analyses and accounting projects as needed.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities:Analyze internal general ledger accounts to ensure accurate recording of transactions to budget Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual budget preparation and analysis Assist in analysis of monthly financial reports and reconcile supporting documentation Assist in preparation for annual audit Assist in preparation of annual budget and supplemental forecasts Analyze, reconcile, and initiate corrective action regarding Internal Controls Analyze and communicate account variances Assist with the analyses and review of the financial statements Perform special projects and assignments as required. Work with Human Resources department as needed to communicate staffing impact on budget Build and maintain Frx financial reports Financial modeling and forecasting
Experience and Education:Strong Excel skills and a working knowledge of Word and Outlook a must. Must possess people skills to work within a team based environment, good communication skills, high attention to detail, accuracy, follow-up and ability to co-exist in an open office environment. Must be able to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision, must be self-motivated and very organized. Minimum of 4 years experience in analysis role in a Senior and/or Supervisory role. Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills. Bachelor's degree in accounting is required; MBA or CPA candidate a plus. Knowledge of Solomon general ledger system and Frx report designer a major plus
