FINANCIAL AID PROFESSIONAL
Career College is seeking an assistant in the Financial Aid Department

Excellent customer service skills with a professional appearance and demeanor is required for this position.  The Financial Aid professional will be responsible for all phases of student financial aid processing including collecting, preparing and maintaining required documentation for the students financial aid files and records.  In this position, you will meet with students, create their financial aid package and be responsible for processing financial aid applications.

Essential job functions include:
Knowledge of Federal and State financial aid policies and proceduresMeeting and explaining College/Federal/State policies and procedures to students and/or parent and school managementResearch and solve questions regarding financial aid FAFSA's via online systemsContinue education and stay up-to-date on all federal and state regulations and institution policies regarding the financial aid program at the CollegeAssist in enhancing the efficiencies of the financial aid process and return of student paperwork
Calculate student living expenses, class drops, graduate amounts, ratios and percentages for analyzing appropriate financial aid amounts
Minimum Qualifications include:
High School Education, AA degree in finance/business and/or 2 to 3 years equivalent experience
Knowledge of Federal Title IV student financial aid regulationsAdvance computer skills; Microsoft Office, FAFSA, ED and CPS systems preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAttention to detail and problem solving skills required
Ability to multi-task, work independently on a variety of job dutiesIntermediate math skills a mustBilingual in Spanish preferredThe ideal candidate will exercise good judgment, have a professional attitude, excellent customer service skills and the ability to be an integral part of the College team as well as an excellent attendance and performance record.
