Facilities & Purchasing Manager

Fast past multi cultural and multisite children and family services nonprofit agency seeks a seasoned Facilities and Purchasing Manager.  We provide services in 36 different languages representing the diversity of Queens.  As Facilities & Purchasing Manager you must possess outstanding verbal and proficient written communication skills and the ability to work and negotiate with vendors as well as interact with a multicultural staff with culture sensitivity.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Core responsibilities include overseeing all maintenance, repairs, improvements, renovations and constructions; managing all purchasing, bid obtainments and vendor relations.  Work closely with site directors to assure that all facilities and purchasing issues are addressed in a timely manner.  You will report to the Director of Human Resources & Administration.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Five plus years of demonstrated proficiency in and/or the management of projects which include: carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting and other aspects of construction, renovation and property management; purchasing, bid securing, invoice reconciliations  and vendor relations.  You must have knowledge of current building and safety.

Salary will be commensurate with experience an expertise.
