Externship Administrator

   Southern Career Institute-Midland Campus is currently seeking an externship coordinator. SCI-Midland is a Kaplan Higher Education Campus   Duties and Responsibilities:* Provide the campus management team with administrative oversight for all externship functions and activities of a non-instructional nature.* Serve as the campus liaison and primary point of contact for all administrative matters pertaining to externship for all programs.* Provide administrative support to the Externship Coordinator in developing and contracting with externship sites in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of the entire externship student population.* Provide direct assistance and support to students while on their externship.* Liaison with the site supervisor and externship coordinators to resolve student externship issues in a timely manner.* Maintain current and readily accessible files for all approved and signed Affiliation Agreements.  There must be a signed contract for every site used for externship purposes.* Ensure that a student attendance timesheet is received and forwarded to the Registrar on a weekly basis for posting. * Ensure that a complete and signed student performance evaluation form is received for every student as they finish their externship experience. * Monitor externship attendance and take immediate corrective action as warranted.* Create and maintain administrative reports, records, and historical data to effectively administer and coordinate all aspects of this position.* Facilitate communication between the Career Service and Education Departments.* Present externship site assignment workshops for students as required.* Maintain an attitude of enthusiasm and cooperation will all department personnel.* Actively participate in assigned projects and activities as business conditions require.* Maintain confidentiality when working with students’ records, and outside-agency personnel. * Perform other duties as assigned. Specific Skills:* Must be able to operate a personal computer and related peripheral equipment.* Must be experienced in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.* Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking the English language.  Qualifications:* Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of school policies and compliance requirements pertaining to the externship phase of training.* Familiarization with programmatic and accrediting agency applicable standards. * Documented success in meeting deadlines and working with minimal supervision/guidance.* Demonstrate excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.* Must be willing and able to travel, as required.  Benefits available for those who qualify included: Immediate health and dental plans Sick days, holidays, and vacation days 401(k) Plan Flexible Spending Account Life and Business Travel Accident Insurance Long-term Disability Group Legal Services Financial Planning EOE  Submit your resume in Word format to; AYusuf@sci-dallas.com or KBailey@sci-midland.com
