Executive Director- Arts Administrator

Executive Director: Long Island Arts AllianceLI Arts Alliance is a membership organization of the region's major not-for-profit arts organizations. LIAA members also include college and university arts departments, individual artists, ensembles, and presenters. LIAA is an advocate for enhanced visibility and funding for the arts and for arts education, and the Alliance provides members with opportunities for professional development and networking. A signature Alliance program is the Long Island Scholar-Artist Awards, a collaboration with the 70 school districts, a program that identifies and presents awards to top high school seniors, students whose accomplishments are then featured in monthly articles in Newsday, and in programming on WLIW21. The Arts Alliance sponsors a program of Executive Forums, in which members gather to hear and to meet with speakers whose expertise is of interest to arts professionals. (See longislandartsalliance.org).The Executive Director will possess outstanding writing and speaking skills, a thorough knowledge of LI arts organizations, experience in not-for-profit management, and a desire to work with the region's leading professional and community leaders in the arts.
