Success in this challenging role can quickly open the doors for an exceptional and advanced career path.  Are you up for the challenge…and the rewards?  About the Position: In this dynamic and diverse position, you will be responsible for… Responsibilities: Assists in the development, direction and coordination of the Admissions Department’s activities in accomplishing its goals and objectives Effectively trains new staff and provides motivation to achieve and maintain a high level of productivity and morale Creates a climate that is proactive and personally is involved in helping Admissions staff achieve their recruiting goals Conducts team meetings in order to motivate, encourage and discuss key issues and concerns with Admissions staff Builds, maintains and encourages productive working relationships with Admissions staff Stimulates employees to achieve desired results through positive attitudes and methods In conjunction with the Director of Admissions, ensures that objectives, goals, plans, budgets, policies, practices and actions produce desired student recruitment results, consistent with the overall mission and strategic plan for the Admissions Department Participates in the development and execution of both short-term and long-term student recruitment strategy at the campus level to ensure the Company’s growth and profitability objectives and implements approved programs Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, ensures quality hires and manages compensation and performance management programs to stay within the salary budget Collaborates in directing the staffing, training, and performance evaluations of the Admissions Advisors in the Admissions Department Participates in the development of an annual student recruitment plan for the campus and ensures the achievement of the approved plan Develops and prepares for approval the Admissions Department’s policies and programs and, as directed, conducts audits and reviews results to ensure conformance with same Maintains an effective system of communication throughout the Department Oversees to ensure that all Admissions operations are in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations along with the Company’s policies and procedures Handles all phases of the student admissions process and responsible for generating prospective students for enrollment at DeVry Serves as mentor to other Advisors in order to train and develop them into top-performing Advisors As directed, delegates responsibilities of the Admissions staff to ensure that policies and decisions are properly discharged at all levels of the Department Carries out supervisory responsibilities which include the following: planning, assigning, and directing work of subordinates; appraising their performances; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems Ensures that all Admissions Department personnel are trained to perform their jobs effectively Ensures that morale of Admissions Department personnel is positive and provides for a viable organization in order to meet its commitments Provides personal leadership that encourages employee productivity and responsiveness to the needs to the Admissions Department Handles related duties as assigned.
