Term appointment to begin September 2008. This is a 12 month professional appointment. Â

FACILITYÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The Cobleskill Child Care Center is a 4-year old, state of the art facility with a capacity of 122 children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years with a staff of 35. The facility consists of 6 classrooms with observation rooms available to researchers and students. Its modern kitchen also provides daily meals to participants. Â

RESPONSIBILITIESÂ Â Â
Duties include, but are not limited to:Â Â
·Full responsibility to manage the Cobleskill Campus Child Care Center program. Â
·Maintain all records, Office of Children & Family Services licensing, and NAEYC accreditation. Â
·Supervise and evaluate center staff and practicum students/interns in the Early Childhood Program. Â
·Maintain good communication and relationships with children, staff & parents at the center, Board of Directors, Early Childhood Department faculty, campus community, and local agencies. Â

QUALIFICATIONSÂ Â Â Â Â Â
Preference will be given for a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field from an accredited university. Will consider other candidates who have completed more than 50% of requirements toward Masters.  Â

Experience in the following:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
-working in an accredited program for a minimum of five years;Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
-classroom teaching experience; Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
-working with parents in an educational setting; Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
-supervising child care staff and high school/college students in an early childhood program;
