Title: Director of Curriculum and Instruction

 

Department: Education

 

Reports to: Chief Education Officer

 

Status:  Regular Full-time, Exempt

 

 

Position Summary:

 

Provide support to sales, marketing and customer sites on Fast ForWord products impacting Reading achievement focusing on the Reading Intervention market.. Collaborate on instructional design, marketing requirements, and product needs for improved product and service needs in the mainstream environment.

 

Essential Functions:Coordinate information and provide direction on customer instructional needs across Fast ForWord products and related materialsProvide information and presentations to customers on Fast ForWord products and their impact on learningRemain up to date on Reading research, trends in reading instruction and student academic performance needsProvide information for sales tools such as brochures and sales presentations to support increased growth in the Reading Intervention market.Monitor customer use of Fast ForWord products and develop improved implementation strategiesWork with Service and Support on determining effective school service offeringsCollaborate with marketing teams, product review teams, and other sales support groups to improve customer product useProvide written information to internal staff and external groups on Fast ForWordProvide professional development to internal staff on school reading needs and issuesProvide leadership in other curriculum areas outside of ReadingGuide internal research designs and determine strategies for packaging this information to customersSupervise staff as assignedOther projects as assigned

 

 

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

 

·  Master’s Degree required

·  Supervisory responsibilities for Reading instruction in a school or district environment

·  Education business experience

·  Outstanding, dynamic presentation skills

·  Excellent written and verbal communications skills

·  Thorough understanding of curriculum standards and their impact on K-12 instruction

·  Research and professional writing experience

·  Experience in sales and marketing to educational institutions

·  10+ years relevant work experience
