Director of Communications - Finance & Administration

Yale University is the employer of choice for men and women who welcome a challenge, value leadership and are interested in career growth.  We’re seeking an experienced communications professional to lead and manage the internal communication efforts of our Finance and Administration (F&A) Department.  This includes establishing communication strategies for short-and long-term plans for the purpose of advancing the effectiveness of all F&A communication efforts.  Responsibilities include directing and managing all F&A communications infrastructure, strategies and procedures; advising F&A leaders on effective messaging; leading the F&A communications network; directing the production and deployment of the F&A website and Intranet; partnering with units to ensure F&A initiatives and strategic objectives are incorporated into key messages and strategies. 

 

To qualify, you must have a Master’s degree in a communications-related field with 10 years of experience in communications planning and execution, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.  Also essential are demonstrated experience in integrating and delivering communications using vehicles and channels to effectively target audiences (direct mail, email, intranet, etc.), project management, leadership, and analytical/problem solving skills.
