The Child Development Center at Bristol Myers Squibb in Wallingford CT is currently seeking a Center Director. This center serves children infant through School Age for the benefit of BMS employees. Located on a private wooded campus this state of the art center is licensed for 144 children. NAEYC accredited this center offers an outstanding professional environment for children and teachers. As the Director, you will have the unique opportunity and responsibility for fostering an environment that allows children, their families and staff to flourish and develop to their full potential. You will be accountable for program operation that exceeds NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) criteria and incorporates Bright Horizons’ mission, organizational goals, values, philosophies and policies and development of positive relationships and on-going collaboration with parents, children, families and clients. Requirements: Degree in ECE or related field required and a minimum of 5-6 years of documented professional experience with young children required. Proven strength required in written and oral communication skills, leadership and supervisory skills, ability to lead and coach staff in implementing a DAP (Developmentally Appropriate Practices) curriculum, financial management and organizational skills. Experience with infants and toddlers, corporate clients and the NAEYC accreditation process preferred.
