General Purpose:

As part of a team, collaborate with Director of Development for Yale College and an array of Office of Development senior staff to successfully meet the goals of the Yale College Tomorrow campaign. Conduct intensive writing, research and project coordination for Yale College within the Office of Development.

 

Position Description: Design, develop and produce reports and analyses by report generation and manipulation of information systems, including our primary Alumni database. Reports will be used by Director to track progress of fundraising efforts on behalf of the College and to manage Campaign events, cultivation and solicitation.Interact with staff in Yale College Dean’s Office to provide a variety of content and guidance to staff in the Major Gifts, Principal Gifts and Reunion Giving Departments regarding proposals, stewardship and gifts to Yale College. Working closely with the Yale College business office and Yale College program staff, manage the stewardship reporting process for over 100 restricted funds in the College. Draft a wide variety of written materials, including correspondence for the Dean of Yale College, detailed biographical and business briefings, correspondence, proposals, campaign news stories and gift agreements.Aid in the coordination and staffing of Yale College>>Tomorrow special events; report on progress of event follow-up and help compile and maintain invitation lists; work in conjunction with the Special Events staff and/or the Director, Campaign Special Projects as necessary. Build strong relationships with staff in the College and Office of Development and serve as a key contact on questions relating to various departmental needs.Respond to donor and volunteer requests and inquiries. Assist with the assignment of tasks to student workers.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience as a project coordinator and/or professional writing experience or other related experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.Experience with online research and public information sources. Preferred: Experience in a university setting or with development work; advanced degree; familiarity with Yale.
