Development Assistant - Oxbow School, Napa CA

The Oxbow School - an innovative, interdisciplinary semester program for high school students with a visual arts focus is seeking a part-time Development Assistant. Responsibilities:• Provide administrative support to the Director of Development.• Assist with all fundraising initiatives.• Assist with donor database data entry to ensure accurate records.• Update Filemaker donor database and prepare thank you letters.• Maintain donor filing systems.• Maintain school calendar.• Update the School’s website• Coordinate all of the School’s mailing lists. Work directly with the mail house as needed. Develop calendar of mailings.• Coordinate design and production Open House invitation and mailing.• Coordinate the design and production of the Visiting Artist Lecture series flyer.• Coordinate the production and mailing of Oxtales: The Oxbow School electronic newsletter, including soliciting stories and distribution.• Respond to donor inquiries and rsvps for event attendees.• Provide special events support for annual benefit, and other events as needed.• Assist with the preparation of materials for board meetings.• Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:• Commitment to The Oxbow School mission.• Excellent oral and written communication skills.• Attention to detail.• General office skills.• Proficient in a Macintosh environment, with experience using, Microsoft Office, Filemaker and Dreamweaver• Familiar with donor databases, Filemaker preferred.• Strong organizational and time management skills.• Visual arts background a plus.The position is part-time, 20-hr week, with occasional evening and weekend work.
