Dental Assistant Instructor (part time)-Kaplan College
Dental Assistant InstructorWould you enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills of dental assisting with our dedicated students at Kaplan College-Seattle? As a Dental Assistant Instructor you will prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and work habits required for entry-level positions. If you posses the desire to make a difference in the lives of students while instilling the technical requirements of the Dental Assistant field, then this may be the job for you. Our program is ADA accredited. What you will do:Instruct dental assisting students in information on the dental profession:· The dental team, legal and ethical issues of dentistry, anatomy and physiology, · Preventive dentistry, chair side assisting, dental materials and dental laboratory procedures, dental radiology, · Office management and communications, and PC skills as they relate to dental practice. REQUIREMENTS:· B.S. degree preferred but not required.· Must have at least 5 years of private dental practice experience as a dental assistant. · Must have or be eligible for CDA and current RAD certificate. · Current CPR certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association. · Individual must possess strong oral and written communication proficiency. · Self-starter, enthusiastic, with ability to work with diverse student population. · Professionalism in all aspects of position, including appearance, demeanor, and attitude.
