DISABILITY SPECIALIST

Seton Hall University, the oldest and one of the largest Diocesan Universities in the nation, currently has a position available for:

 

DISABILITY SPECIALIST

Candidate will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of accommodations and related services for students with disabilities; assisting with developing data collection and writing reports; assisting in budget development; and participating in on-going professional development. You will provide program and support services; coordinate alternative testing accommodations; develop student follow-through plans; and monitor students’ progress. Other responsibilities include coordinating academic accommodation provisions; coordinating adaptive technology; providing information about and referrals to on and off campus resources; maintaining confidentiality regarding student files and records; and other duties as assigned.

 

Must have a Master’s Degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 3-5 years professional experience with adolescent or adult students with disabilities, preferably in a higher education setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all members of the University community are necessary.
