DATABASE SERVICES PROSPECT RESEARCH ADMINISTRATOR
The University of Bridgeport is seeking a talented, highly motivated professional to serve as Donor Database /Donor Research Administrator. This individual will manage and coordinate all aspects of the Raiser’s Edge database and prospect research for the Development/Alumni office and provide analysis and guidance to these operations. This position reports to the Executive Director of University Relations.
The administrator must be dedicated to providing quality service, both internally and externally, to a broad-based constituency. S/he must exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical principles and be committed to the University’s mission.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Oversee all aspects of the University of Bridgeport alumni database
2. Maintain, update and enhance quality of data to insure accurate documentation and maintenance of department files for constituent demographics and giving history
3. Manage data integrity projects that require research and analysis skills
4. Update/produce group lists as requested
5. Assist with preparation and production of mass mailings, solicitations, invitations, periodicals, etc
6. Provide general support and coordination of daily operations for University Relations
7. Implement systems, procedures and practices for the most effective collaboration between programs, faculty and staff, and the various departments housed within University Relations.
8. Meet goals and deadlines
9. Supervise/monitor/reconcile all gift and pledge processing
10. Generate gift acknowledgements
11. Generate queries, reports, lists and labels for the various departments within University Relations
12. Maintain record of online giving
13. Prepare reports as requested by the Executive Director
14. Perform donor research as requested using research software and other mining applications
15. Alert Executive Director of Major Gifts prospects.
16. Train University Relations staff on Raiser’s Edge on an as-needed basis
17. Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of two + years’ experience with Raiser’s Edge
• Understanding of fundraising activities, database structure and theory
• Able to communicate and interact effectively with multiple constituencies
• Strong organizational skills that include effective management of multiple projects, prioritization of tasks and attention to details and accuracy
• Exceptional work ethic; ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive and critical data and information
• Ability to be flexible and to work effectively as both a leader and a team member
• Occasional evening and weekend work required.
• Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Office Suite Applications essential; knowledge of Wealth Engine preferred.
