With more than 30,000 employees based in 60 countries, we are a family of businesses that draws on common assets, processes and shares a common purpose: to help our customers live and learn.Pearson is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/V/D, and a member of E-Verify. - Supports specified Regional territories with sales of digital, basal and supplemental programs and services - Provides specialized curriculum resources to customers as they are making purchasing decisions- Conducts product demonstrations via the web- May be asked to deliver seminars via the web concerning varied educational issues- Provides sales coverage in territories not currently filled by an existing Sales Rep- Assists with customer implementations as needed- Teams with existing Sales Representatives for account management, product demos, marketing campaigns and inbound leads - Develops customer quotes and proposals- Places outbound calls to solicit sales from existing install base lists and new account lists- Participates and assists with trade shows, conventions, sales meetings and executive briefings - Makes customer visits as necessary- May be asked to deliver connected training days for curriculum products under Pearson's fee based pricing, following systems and processes used by Instructional Services- Assists with department projects as assigned, including coverage in other Districts as necessary Formal education or equivalent experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; may need additional training in skills to fulfill the basic responsibilities of the position- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Education presents an advantageSkills/knowledge/abilities - Basic knowledge of company's or industry products and sales practices desirable- Experience in K-12 Education highly desired- Experience with Field or tele-sales- Excellent communications, interpersonal and telephone skills- Computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office products required- Ability to travel
