Culture & Language Consultant BOSTON, MA 02108 ROLL WITH US!Position SummaryActs in partnership with Operations, HR, Training and Marketing to interpret, train, develop and educate Restaurant Managers and Crew on Chipotle initiatives, culture and language. Serves as a facilitator for employee development and manages change within a fast-paced environment. Position requires the ability to adapt and enlist support from a cross-functional team and to creatively respond to a variety of diverse challenges. Main AccountabilitiesIn addition to following Chipotle’s policies and procedures, main accountabilities are as follows:• Plans, organizes, and conducts Communication and Confidence workshops. Prepares related reports that demonstrate the classes’ value and benefit to Chipotle and areas for improvement and modification. Ensures material is reinforced at restaurant level with support of Operations. Maintains and tracks employees’ academic record through PeopleSoft.• Partners with HR, Training and Regional Staff and General Managers to develop internal employees. Identifies candidates for Communication and Confidence training workshops. Educates crew, supervisors and restaurant managers about Chipotle benefits, culture, language and career growth opportunities. • Leads and directs Immersion Restaurant Managers and the development of the Immersion Program curriculum and training. Provides suggestions for curriculum and program development.• Trains restaurant managers and Designated Interpreters to deliver Communication and Confidence workshops, interpretations and other Culture and Language functions in a specific patch or area.• Assists restaurant and Regional Staff with verbal and written bilingual communications (English/Spanish). • Interprets and communicates Chipotle’s Operations and HR initiatives (e.g., customer service expectations, Food With Integrity philosophy, etc.) by working directly with crew and management and/or leading workshops and classes.• In cooperation with Area Managers, General Managers and/or Field HR representatives, conducts a variety of meetings at the restaurants including: New Employee Orientation, Zero Tolerance Crew Training, mandatory employee meetings, individual performance consultations, hourly employee reviews, New Store Opening Crew Rallies, SWAT, etc.• As requested, partners with HR representatives to assist with and provide interpretation in confidential investigations where language barriers may be present.• Identifies recurring issues and themes in the restaurants, market and region related to culture and language. Works with the C&L Consultant, HRGs, RTCs and the HR Training Manager to elevate, troubleshoot and develop preventative solutions, as needed.• Networks and attends classes and events to stay current and informed about culture and language issues facing communities and companies. • Depending on the needs of the business and/or department, may complete other duties as assigned to advance a particular project or resolve a business issue.QualificationsEducation/Training•B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent in education and experienceKnowledge/Skills• PC proficiency• Proficiency with MS Office Suite• Able to read, write and speak fluently in both English and Spanish• Able to conduct effective training sessions in front of an audience• Able to maintain an organized and well-planned work style• Previous work experience in a fast-paced team environment is preferredWork Experience• At least 4 – 5 years of applicable experience in a business environment• Experience in translating and teaching languages is highly preferredRequirementsTravel• OccasionalHuman Resources - Training & Development
