Christian Education Director (outreach)

Your goal is to connect neighborhood children from many different Christian denominations to God ( 2/3 in our area do not attend church). After-school elementary Spirit Club in neighborhood homes (parents rotate, children all get off at same bus stop). Tell dramatic Bible stories with flannelgrams and diverse hero stories with laminated photos.  We focus on one virtue and one Bible memory verse per month (ie love, faith, kindness, courage). Sing. Play games. Fun. Spiritually deep.  Respect different traditions. Help children build habit of talking to God, reading Bible, serving others. Recruit and train other teachers for entire Hartford area (we are currently based in Glastonbury but growing fast).  Help organize annual June gala.  10 - 15 hours per week. Summers and school vacations off. You can be Catholic or Protestant - but you have to love God and love kids!  See our website at  www.riverfrontfamilychurch.com. Email Nancybtlr@aol.com .
