Chief Academic Officer (9607)

The Chief Academic Officer is accountable for the overall success of the academic operations of the institution. The position is primarily responsible for promoting the institution's mission by providing effective academic leadership and oversight of all academic operations, instruction, assessment, and faculty development programs. Key Responsibilities Formulates and executes strategies and plans for academic programs that promote ITT Tech's mission. Oversees the campuses' academic operations, faculty training and professional development. Collaborates with both internal and external constituencies to identify, develop and review new and revised programs which are in keeping with the mission of the institution. Builds and strengthens the relationships between the campuses and communities by overseeing the Advisory Committees organization through a systematic process for collecting and evaluating the committees' feedback. Develops and implements processes, systems, and infrastructure capabilities to effectively and efficiently operate and control the academic operations. Oversees development of quality programs of study through ongoing program review and assessment. Sets educational standards and goals and establishes policies and procedures to achieve them. Ensures compliance with policies and procedures, ethical practices, government agencies' guidelines and accrediting organizations' criteria. Represents ITT Tech in community, state, regional and national organizations. Required Skills: Doctoral degree from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education or related experience is required. A minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible management experience with at least 5 of those years in a leadership capacity. Academic leadership in postsecondary institution desirable. Possess thorough knowledge and ability to develop and execute multi-year strategic plans. Excellent interpersonal, influencing and collaboration skills. Experience in organizing and writing reports and presentations of a technical nature. Proven record of multi-tasking and ability to handle a high pressure environment with significant timeline pressures. Must be willing to relocate to headquarters located in Carmel, Indiana, a northern suburb of Indianapolis.
