Business Development Manager

Description:Kaplan is searching for our next Business Development Manager to market and sell Kaplans Pre-College test preparation programs (SAT, ACT and PSAT) in the Pittsburgh area. The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling and marketing Kaplans programs and developing, maintaining, and managing all school and community relationships in a territory.Our Ideal Candidate will possess 3 key traits: 1. Experience in sales and/or business development.2. A passion for representing Kaplan in the field and networking at high schools, school districts and local businesses3. Excellent account and territory management skills Responsibilities: Developing and implementing strategic territory marketing and sales plans Building relationships with school and district personnel, students, parents, and community organizations Establishing and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through consistent and effective customer communication Leading effective and dynamic presentations to high school students, parents, teachers and administrators Identifying new and efficient activities to promote growth and expansion Requirements: Bachelors Degree strongly preferred 2+ years of outside/inside sales experience or relationship management experience Education experience and educational sales are valued but not required Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills; strong presentation and public speaking skills Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills Ability to manage and prioritize a wide variety of responsibilities in a high energy and fast-paced environment Ability to travel within the local territoryIf you have a passion for education and business, and an unwavering commitment to our students, please email your resume, cover letter, and salary requirements.
