Benefits Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will manage, analyze and administer a comprehensive health and welfare benefits program. You will have the responsibility for the development of the benefits budget and monitoring of expenditures throughout the year. In addition you will be responsible for ERISA compliance and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
You will have the opportunity to manage Supplemental Retirement Accounts and Retirement Accounts, life and disability insurance, tuition remission, Workers' Compensation, Unemployment Insurance, Tuition Exchange, Parking and MBTA transit programs and other relevant benefits. Other duties include: act as a liaison with Finance in the reconciliation of health and dental accounts (including COBRA), and Flexible Spending Accounts; ensure legal compliance in the preparation of Form 5500's in an accurate and timely manner; serve as a member of the Colleague/ADP implementation team, ensuring that benefits are accurately entered into the system in a timely fashion; and implement and monitor Mass Health Connector Plan and prepare all necessary reports.
Required Education Experience and Skills:
A Bachelor's degree in a field related to Human Resources or Benefits Management. At least five years of experience as Human Resources Generalist - three of which must be in Benefits. Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred. Must be able to set and deal with multiple priorities. Must possess strong analytical, financial, and problem solving skills. Must demonstrate strong human relations skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Full Microsoft office experience preferred (expert).
