Associate Director

The position is responsible for contributing to the mission and goals of the Office of Career Services through the management of the Employer Recruiting Program, Internship Initiatives, and Employer Outreach/Development strategies. Responsibilities will include the following:



- Coordination of all aspects of the Employer Recruiting program for students and employers including the policies governing recruiters and students who participate;

- Coordination of the collection, analysis, and reporting of data concerning recruiting activities, employer surveys, the senior class career plans questionnaire, etc.;

- Oversight of the internships area including for-profit/nonprofit and semester/summer internship listings,fairs, consortia involvement, and supervision of staff in that area;

- Cultivation of new employers in a broad range of industries to develop domestic and international opportunities.

Essential Qualifications

This position requires a graduate degree in career counseling, higher education or related area and at least 3-5 years of progressively responsible campus recruiting, college relations or employer development including administrative responsibility and staff supervision. Experience with college recruiting systems (e.g., Experience, NACElink) for both jobs and internships is preferred. The successful candidate must possess the capacity for effective collaboration and communication with students, employers, and administrators and demonstrate ability to work independently and as a contributing team member. Experience with information technology, team building, project management and handling multiple priorities is needed. Exceptional communication skills, initiative, sound judgment, and flexibility are essential.
