Assistant Technical Director

The Ohio State University Assistant Technical Director Department of Facilities Operations and Development The Ohio State University Department of Facilities Operations and Development is currently accepting applications for the position of Asst. Technical Director. Individual will provide technical direction on utilities projects, energy management and infrastructure studies; review and submit written comments of facilities planning, design and construction documents; inspect new construction and Utility System repairs; assist the Technical Director in administering and directing Utilities Engineering assignments and in establishing and maintaining the campus Building Design Standards; provide engineering design for Utilities system optimization, energy conservation and reliability improvement projects: provide technical consultation to the Utilities Director and shop management; participate in various short and long range planning activities in support of the University Academic Plan and the Campus Infrastructure Master Plan; assist in maintaining the campus utility models and execute planning scenarios as directed. Participate in meetings, conferences and meet with various University departments and customers. This position requires a Bachelor?s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience, registered P.E. in Ohio or state w/ reciprocity, extensive exp w/ projects in Power Systems including Steam and Power Plants and electrical substations, exp w/HVAC, energy mgmt, pressure piping and industrial controls. Master?s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience is desired. May require successful completion of a criminal background check.
