Assistant Professor - Microbiology

Job Summary/Basic Function:
Faculty Position in Microbiology. The Department of Biological Sciences at Wellesley College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant professor to begin August 2009. The position is open to any area of microbiology, however, we are particularly interested in candidates in microbial ecology and diversity. The successful candidate will teach courses at all levels of the curriculum and develop an active research program that involves undergraduates.

Minimum Qualifications:
We are seeking a broadly-trained microbiologist who is strongly committed to excellence in both teaching and research in a liberal arts college environment. A Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience are required.
