Assistant Professor - Composition/Theory
Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Wellesley College Department of Music invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in composition/theory at the rank of Assistant Professor. Our Department offers a major and a minor in Music, as well as an outstanding Music Performance Program that provides students with individual and group lessons and many opportunities for ensemble performance. Minimum Qualifications:
We seek a colleague of wide-ranging scholarly and musical concerns with strengths in composition (including electronic music) and music theory. Candidates should describe the full range of their compositional activities, creative interests and scholarly work. Also of interest are leadership experience and a willingness to work with colleagues across disciplines. Applicants must either have completed the doctoral degree or anticipate its completion by June 2009.
