Job Summary
Facilitate the daily operations of the tutoring program at a specific site, including tutor assignments, working with teachers, students, parents, and prospective customers to ensure quality instruction and excellent customer satisfaction.
Essential FunctionsAddress and resolve daily customer service requests from tutoring students and prospects via phone, email, and mail.Provide assistance to tutors; send supplemental materials and arrange mutually convenient locations for sessions with students.
3. Manage flow of information to enrolled and prospective tutoring students including confirmation calls and welcome letters. Proactively monitor tutorials to ensure students are taking all practice tests.Scan, score, and print results from diagnostic tests.Administer and process evaluations and provide recommendations for action based on results; work with the Tutoring Director to identify teachers who should be promoted to Tutor.Order and manage the assembly and inventory of student and tutor materials. Handle basic accounting for enrolled students, including processing payments and handling inter-office transfers.Delegate tasks to part-time office workers and interns.Work with Director of Marketing and Tutoring Director to create marketing campaigns to sell additional tutoring sessions to classroom students.
11. Participate in outreach events to attract students.Other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
2. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
3. Capable of managing and balancing a substantial variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced, hectic environment under tight time constraints
4. Strong written and oral communication skills as well as customer service skills
5. Prior knowledge of admissions tests or the admission process itself is a plus
6. Strong leadership qualities and an interest in moving up into a managerial role
7. Customer service experience is a plus
8. Strong computer skills
9. Sales experience is a plus.
