Job Category: Project/Program Management CONTACT INFORMATION Job Description Assistant Camp Coordinator Progressive Child Care Fund providing an array of services to union members' children age’s birth to 17 is seeking energetic, experienced, Assistant Camp Coordinator for our Anne Shore Sleep-away Camp Program.Responsibilities: Assist Camp Coordinator in planning and implementing the Anne Shore Sleep-away program Research accredited sleep-away camp service providers in accordance with regulatory requirements and CCC guidelines; gather required service provider documents Assist in the coordination, registration, distribution of benefits and placement of eligible participants’ children in the Anne Shore Sleep-away camp programs in a in a timely manner Assist in the planning and implementation of individualized camp/parent orientations and interviews Provide supervision to Anne Shore Camp staff in the absence of the Coordinator Actively participate in the evaluation of camp programs and the camp experience for 1199SEIU members and their children Help to troubleshoot and provide alerts to the Coordinator regarding issues and concerns that impact the organization, program, members and/or children.  Participate in department activities, Corporation and Fund events Prepare periodic and annual reports Participates in special projects and other duties as directed Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in education, social work, psychology or related field Minimum of three years experience working with children and families; knowledgeable of child development and age appropriate programming for children and adolescents Demonstrated knowledge of camping industry, standards and regulations and best practices Excellent written and verbal communications skills; organized, able to multi task and meet deadlines  Ability to develop, foster and maintain excellent professional working relationships  Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and database applications Some travel, evening and weekend work required We offer a competitive salary, an excellent fully employer-paid comprehensive benefits package and talented professional colleagues.
