Admissions Director
Aspen Education Group is recognized nationwide as the leading provider of education programs for struggling or underachieving young people. North Star, a young-adult transitional-living program specializing in assisting young adults ages 17.5-24 in early recovery with high school completion, college-prep and college-level courses. Located in the small college and resort community of Bend, Oregon, all students receive personal academic assistance, individual and group counseling, and ongoing support in becoming a responsible young adult. Achieving progressive independence to self-reliance is a major focus for all students. The program length is one year. We are currently looking for an Admissions Director to work at our program.
Job Responsibilities:
•Communicates via telephone with potential students and financial sponsors to explain program benefits while screening for appropriateness of student. Maintains relationships with referral sources via telephone contact and on-site tours.
•Communicates with new referral sources about program components.
•Facilitates the interview process by meeting with students and taking developmental history from parent or financial sponsor.
•Monitors admissions statistics with projected revenue in the financial plan.
•Responsible for recruitment, professional development, assignment of duties, approval of leave requests and expenses, performance management and personnel actions, and serving as a resource for consultation and advice for support and professional staff.
•Maintains department’s database, including liaison with corporate database.
•Responsible for all admission materials including questionnaires, brochures, and other enrollment material.
•Participates in trade conferences and corporate marketing sessions on a bi-annual basis.
Requirements:
•Bachelors Degree desired.
•Minimum (4-5) years of experience in related admissions field.
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills required.
•Attention to detail and follow through is mandatory
•Intermediate level PC skills required.
Ideal candidate must be exceptionally good with referral sources.
