Accountant II

Under minimal supervision, this position administers the general ledger account functions. This includes maintaining the various general ledger accounts and general ledger system, as well as, analyzes the accounting records for reports and special projects.Requirements: A thorough knowledge of accounting or business as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field. Master's degree preferred.Two to three years accounting and customer service required.Must have the ability to effectively utilize a ten key adding machine and/or calculator to perform complex mathematical calculations.Must have a working knowledge of personal and financial software packages to maintain general ledger accounts and system and retrieve data for reporting purposes as described above.Must have sufficient oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to communicate general accounting information to internal and external customers.Must be results oriented and able to perform or process several ongoing tasks at one time.
