Position Summary:
The Program Chair is a member of the faculty appointed to be the academic and administrative leader of a specific program (or programs) offered at a campus. The Program Chair is responsible to the campus Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Campus President, and/or the College Dean for the efficient and effective operation of their assigned program. The Program Chair is responsible for fulfilling all duties in conformity with the policies and procedures of the University as well as those processes and mechanisms developed within the campus at which the program is offered.
Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in marriage and family therapy, family studies or human development with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy, or similar degree with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from a regionally accredited institution; licensure as a marriage and family therapist; experience and strong interest in working with diverse and marginalized populations. Candidates must possess: appropriate teaching experience at the graduate level, demonstrated leadership ability, and a strong commitment to teaching and administration.
