Academic Advisor- MCPHS
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, founded in 1823, is a coeducational college offering graduate, professional and undergraduate degrees in the health sciences. As a private and independent institution with a long and distinguished history, the College provides traditional and non-traditional programs of study that serve the needs of the community. With campuses in Boston and Worcester, Massachusetts and Manchester, New Hampshire, the College enrolls approximately 3,200 students, who are drawn from 35 states and 34 foreign countries, and employs over 300 faculty and staff.
Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is currently accepting applications for the position of Academic Advisor. Reporting to the Coordinator of Advising, the Academic Advisor is responsible for the delivery of advising services through one-to-one and group advising sessions; assists students with academic goal setting, course selection and degree requirements; monitors student compliance with Writing and Oral Proficiency, Library Modules and Medical Terminology requirements; acts as a liaison to one of the schools; maintains records of individual and group advising sessions; other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years related experience. Commitment to developing a diverse community of healthcare providers. Commitment to teamwork and establishing working relationships across campus constituencies. Excellent communication skills and computer skills.
