The primary purpose of this position is to provide comprehensive advising services to students admitted into GO, undeclared students, non-matriculated and prospective students. The person in this position will have responsibilities for providing individual and group advising, participating in and developing workshop activities for students, and being an integral part of Orientation as well as other services and programs offered by the Advising Services. This position is also responsible for the academic integrity of degree audit and facilitates the programming necessary to ensure the updating and accuracy of the system.Â

Qualifications: Required:  A baccalaureate degree in an appropriate academic discipline and a minimum one year of experience working in an academic advising department. Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.  Demonstrated understanding of basic computer programming, experience working with a computerized degree audit system and software packages to include some knowledge of Oracle database system.   Preferred: A master's degree.
