ATTAIN Instructional Technology Coordinator
This position is offered through the SUNY Sponsored Programs Office, an operating location of The Research Foundation of State University of New York, a private, nonprofit educational corporation supporting research, education and public service at the State University of New York.
Advanced Technology Training & Information Networking (ATTAIN) is a Statewide technology initiative funded by New York State. ATTAIN’s goal is to provide urban & rural communities access to state-of-the-art technology. Through innovative technologies ATTAIN provides under-served & under-educated community residents academic, vocational, life skills & workplace readiness training.
Duties: Responsible for program development & delivery, engage community residents in the use of technology, oversee day-to-day operations of the lab, develop outreach & recruitment strategies, presentations & other duties as outlined.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s deg. in Ed./related discipline. Two yrs. exp. working w/adult population. Exp. w/instructional computer software applications in reading, writing, & math. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook. Some weekend & evening hours are req. Strong communication, written, organizational and presentation skills required. Bilingual a plus.
Physical Demands: May require long periods of standing and moving around computer lab. Must be able to lift and move monitors, printers, CPUs or other light equipment and supplies on occasion. Must be able to kneel, squat, bend, crawl or stretch in order to add or remove computer hardware and/or cables.
Salary: $40,000 – 42,000
