ABA Trained Teacher Assistant
The Milestone School for Child Development is currently seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant that has 1 or more years of experience working directly with children with Autism. We Certified Teacher Assistants with previous experience working with children with special needs in a preschool setting are preferred. The ABA Trained Teacher Assistant will facilitate a classroom of 8 preschoolers who have been diagnosed with Autism or PDD.
The Milestone School for Child Development is a private, special education preschool that provides services to children 3-5 years of age who have been identified with a developmental delay. All students have been identified with a mild to moderate delay in one or more of the following areas: language, cognition, fine or gross motor, behavior and/or socialization. Milestone School shares a building with a day care center that accommodates children between 6 weeks and 6 years.
Requirements: Teacher Assistant position must have HS Diploma, some college credits preferred Teacher Assistant certification required (awaiting approval for certificate encouraged to apply) Experience working with Autistic learners in an ABA formatexperience with special education students required ongoing training will be provided Hours will be 8:15am-3:00pm
