The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for leading Category Management objectives for both Bremner Food Group and Carriage Companies. Includes proactively and creatively identify market opportunities for new items, existing and new categories, and line extensions for all products within the BFG and CHC business units. Division level role supporting a $1.3 Billion dollar business. Builds programs to ensure success for new items and aggressively guiding the Trade Marketing programs for retail accounts, working with the sales group to develop and implement opportunities. Job duties include:Develops market objectives and strategies in conjunction with Sales; monitors performance against goals aimed at growing the Private Brands mark presence. Utilize relevant analytical tools and analysis to increase penetration in existing categories and channels. Identifies and executes new item opportunities in existing and new categories. To include the number of new items, new item targets for “alternative channels”, and fully developed business plans. Directs activities such as market research, brand/product management, and advertising and promotion. Develops and executes a 3 year Marketing plan for the business. Plans and oversees execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, and trade shows. Identify new packaging opportunities. Facilitate cross-communication across all areas in Product Development areas. Maintain current product lines and extend lines based on opportunity. Achieve targets of marketing programs that will be agreed upon by retailer. Manage the Marketing budget. Plans and oversees market research to identify opportunities for increased sales. Participate in acquisition activities, as required. Partners with the Director of R&D on the New Product Development Team. Job QualificationsBS in Marketing or related degree required. MBA Preferred Minimum of 10 years experience in Food Marketing/Product Management Experience Creative product development experience, preferred Recent experience required across all classes of trade Strong interpersonal and business communication skills Planning and organizational skills Strong analytical and computer skills Minimum of 50% overnight travel Contact Information Company:Ralcorp Holdings, Inc.
