Today, MTI-Andrews has over $100 Million in annual revenue and unprecedented expertise and experience in helping retailer’s capture and retain satisfied customers. Andrews has become a one-stop shop for its customers by stocking more than 150,000 SKU’s and developing supply chain technologies, research and part search tools and order fulfillment programs that minimize delivery times and reduce the total cost of supporting the customer after the sale. Responsibilities: Vice President / General Manager
This executive is responsible for the development, achievement and leadership of operational and financial goals and objectives. Reporting to the corporate CEO, the VP/GM provides strategic and tactical network optimization to be proactive in improving current operations and decreasing costs in the supply chain. This role is responsible for current operational issues, distribution modeling best practices, optimization, logistics design, pricing and financial analysis and operational and sales support.
Key Responsibilities:Serves as a key member of the organization’s executive team, with the primary responsibility of establishing Andrews Electronics strategic direction Achieves prescribed company objectives with regard to business growth, revenue, profit, customer service, productivity, quality and cost controlsDrives the development and maintenance of positive customer relations by understanding customer needs, terms and conditions of contracts, developing plans to meet those needs, ensuring that the team demonstrates exceptional customer service principles at all levels of the businessPartners with internal staff and external partners to achieve business goals and objectivesIdentifies opportunities to improve the operations in harmony with strategic objectives and creates standardized business processes that result in increased performance and customer serviceEstablishes procedures to ensure logistics and distribution management best practicesResponsible for ensuring that management information systems/services exist to provide customers and external partners with information and supply chain solutions that meet/exceed their needsDrives operational performance with a particular focus on productivity, quality and costResponsible for the implementation of new processes and procedures and/or technologies into the workplace, including the administration of all supporting operational or procedural modifications in accordance with suchDevelops and achieves budget, revenue and profit for responsible sitesMonitors and reports on service levels on a consistent and regular basis to ensure that performance metrics meet customer, vendor an contractual requirementsEnsures customer contract requirements are administered and enforcedResponsible for site workload planning and volume forecasting (i.e. staffing, equipment, space requirements)Recruits, leads and develops leadership/management team who will assure the level of performance and productivity necessary to achieve current and future objectivesEnsures effective and regular communication and high employee moraleEnsures proper training and development of personnelExemplifies the driving force in the development of the work ethic, culture and values of the divisionEstablishes the style and approach which characterizes the organization’s interaction/dealings with the marketplace Collaborates with the management team in managing complex business agreements and contract negotiations. 10-30% travel required
Candidate Profile:
The successful candidate will have proven leadership skills in driving the enhancement of the customer experience at all levels of an organization; strong analytical skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically and act tactically; ability to operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment; with strong influencing skills and the ability to interface both inside and outside an organization to ensure successful, high-performance outcomes. Additional requirements include a Bachelor’s degree combined with five or more years of in depth supply chain and distribution management and P&L experience.
Qualified candidates will have the following:
· Bachelor’s degree required (logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related operations discipline)
· Experience building and leading an organization where enhancing the customer experience is a critical success factor.
· 5 years supply chain management experience in a distribution environment
· 5 years experience in managing full P&L (includes balance sheet, forecasting, budget)
· Deep and broad knowledge of logistics, distribution management and supply chain management practices
· Experience growing a business organically and through acquisitions
· A hands-on management approach that encourages change and creative problem solving
· Ability to interact effectively at multiple levels in support of customer relationships
· A commitment to continuous improvement in an ever-changing industry
· Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels
· Ability to look beyond the numbers to influence tactical operational improvements (ability to analyze and extract data in order to set direction and make business decisions)
· Ability to groom and grow others
· Demonstrated success in developing and executing new business strategies
· Strong analytical skills; problem solving skills that respond quickly and effectively to operational issues
· Ability to analyze and extract data in order to set direction and make business decisions
· Above average proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
