Utility Operator - Production

Summary: The primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently produce quality product in a manner consistent with Crowley/HP Hood?s standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.1. To safely and properly operate all assigned equipment. 2. To meet production quotas as established by management. 3. To efficiently perform assigned task and to assist in development/training of new department members as assigned. 4. To comply with all policies, laws and guidelines as instructed relative to production and sanitation. 5. To participate in cross-training efforts, increasing both personal and departmental effectiveness. 6. Maintain levels, codes and packaging to ensure a quality product. 7. Must work cooperatively with department members and other employees. 8. Any other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor. Desired Outcomes or Results:To ensure the fulfillment of products is completed efficiently, safely and by company standards for the consumption by our customers.Requirements: Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of the dairy business helpful, but not necessary. Language Skills:Good Verbal communication skills required. Mathematical Skills:Basic math skills required. Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems, carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasionally lifts up to 100 lbs.
