Two Marketing/Brand Managers (Consumer Packaged Goods)

 

This is an exciting career opportunity for marketing professionals to join manufacturer who is an innovator and category leader. These individuals will manage existing product lines and the development of new products. Responsibilities:

 

Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

 

Direct the marketing activities of assigned products and brands to achieve optimum consumer awareness and brand loyalty.

 

Manage a mix of company owned and private label brands

 

Leads Cross-Functional Teams to include Product Development, Operations and Sales to ensure products and business objectives are achieved.

 

In conjunction with the sales force, make key account sales presentations providing added value in terms of analysis and consumer trends and product information.

 

Manage the assigned budgets and ultimately Profit & Loss objectives.

 

Become the company in-house experts in terms of assigned products and brands.

 

Direct the consumer research efforts in terms of understanding current and emerging trends.

 

Requirements:

 

3-6 years of packaged goods Marketing/Product Management experience with a proven track record.

 

New product development process from concept inception through market introduction.

 

Profit and loss responsibility.

 

Experience managing a marketing budget.

 

Experience with syndicated research data (e.g. IRI or Nielsen).

 

Demonstrated leadership and ability to develop people.

 

Must possess strong strategic skills to be able to drive short and long term brand growth and profitability.

 

Strong analytical skills.

 

Ability to manage a multiple list of projects and provide proper prioritization.

 

Direct the efforts of outside agencies to include market research advertising and promotion.

 

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

 

Ability to make sound compelling presentations to company senior management and key customers.

 

Computer literate i.e. Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office or equivalent programs.

 

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
