The Supply Planner will be responsible for finished goods production plans for a specified category that support customer service targets, loss & destroyed, finished goods DOS & overall cost containment. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Overall responsibility for finished goods planning system for a specified category.  Ensure all parameters are maintained and overall system planning is optimized.  Conduct regular consistent reviews of all parameters and update based on new criteria.

 

Lead & conduct supply planning meetings with plant schedulers and deployment analyst, ensuring all production plans and inventory levels are adequate from DOS and L&D targets in the short term planning system (PPDS and SNP). Responsible to ensure plans are balanced, indicating sourcing changes where needed.

 

Ensure Master Schedule is reflected within planning system (SNP). Conduct weekly review of medium and long term production plans by asset and SKU. Update line resourcing, investigate issues, ensure adequate materials plan is reflected downstream within MRP.

 

Participate in weekly supply planning team meetings with counterparts in materials, deployment, forecasting and procurement to deliver key KPIs - service, DOS, L&D, forecast accuracy, material SS, obsolescence minimization and sourcing optimization

 

 

Requirements: 

 3-5years Supply Chain experience in CPG (food, beverage or HBA) including supply planning.B.A. in Supply Chain Mgmt/Logistics or related degree.Demonstrated understanding of supply chain processes and safety stock optimization strategies.Demonstrated understanding of master scheduling and manufacturing.Solid communication skills, particularly in highlighting issues to senior management.Ability to set deadlines and key timetables to achieve with minimal guidance.SAP/APO knowledge a strong plus.APICS certification desired.
