Supervisor of Packaging Mechanics

A world leader in consumer goods manufacturing is looking for an "Experienced" (6-8 years) Supervisor of Packaging Mechanics (1st shift) at its Central New Jersey/Piscataway area facility.  The candidate "MUST" have the ability to directly supervise union packaging mechanics and experience in supervising the repairing, adjusting, and troubleshooting of production packaging equipment including but not limited to liquid fillers, cartoners, case packing & palletizing equipment.  The supervisor will ensure production of finished  goods in a safe manner that meets all quality standards.  Additional responsibilities include improving productivity & efficiency of equipment to minimize waste and losses.  Supervisor will train and coach personnel, and administer discipline when necessary.

 

EDUCATION:Bachelors degree preferred

 

REQUIREMENTS:Previous supervisory experience managing mechanics/technicians in a manufacturing environment (preferably packaging) required. Prior experience in a filling environment utilizing alcohol products a plus. Excellent leadership and organizational skills. Strong computer skills.
