STAFF ACCOUNTANT I

 



Summary:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various assignments, primarily banking activities, Fixed Asset accounting, maintaining the general ledger, month end closes, balance sheet reconciliations, and other general ledger assignments.

 

Primary/Fundamental Duties:

 

· Maintain fixed asset system, reconcile the fixed asset rollforward, and calculate, record, and reconcile depreciation.

· Assist & review in all functions of month-end close.

· Responsible for reconciling various monthly accounts & updating their detailed supporting schedules.

· Input journal entries.

· Assist with preparation of monthly reports for distribution to senior management.

· Assist with banking functions, including monthly reconciliations, wire transfers, ACH payments and researching charge backs and fees.

· Audit & post product returns.

· Prepare schedules for year-end audit.

· Support annual budgeting process.

· Help develop departmental policies & procedures.

· Support special projects and other duties as needed..

 

 

· Strong computer skills – Must have fast and accurate typing skills.  Ability to use e-mail & have a working knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of Great Plains would be helpful.

· Capable of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Ability to handle multiple task and priorities.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.

· Attention to detail and follow up.

· Professional communication of both verbal and written skills.

· Must be able to work well independently or with others.

 

 

Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
