Sr. Producer - Toys
Overview
The Senior Producer is responsible for content development for multiple LeapFrog learning toys, including product ideation, content planning and managing execution within identified parameters (cost, schedule, quality, marketability). The Senior Producer has the ultimate responsibility for the quality and timeliness of content development of assigned products. The Sr. Producer may directly oversee and manage a staff of Producers. The ideal candidate has excellent leadership abilities, creative vision, project management and communication skills and can work with multi-disciplinary teams to successfully develop products on time and budget. Product development experience is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities Work with Marketing, Industrial Design, Engineers, and International Producers to develop educational interactive products from concept through completion. Set creative direction, own and maintain the educational design and vision. Coordinate with writers, designers, artists, educational consultants, voice talent, software engineers, testers and others to lead development of creative and educational content from initiation to completion. Develop and manage overall content development budget and schedule. May be responsible for hiring, management and professional growth of staff, such as producers and associate producers. Work with licensors to ensure license integrity within product vision. Assure infrastructure, processes and tools are in place for high-quality, cost-effective development. Initiate ideas for new content and categories. Prepare and present new concepts to executive staff, licensors, media and others.

Knowledge & Skills Production experience a must. Proven track record of consistently successful development of multi-media titles is ideal. Product development experience is strongly preferred. A passion for creating high-quality, innovative products that educate and entertain kids of all ages. Leadership skills to lead a team to execute on product development, including managing and mentoring direct reports. Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills to make recommendations and decisions that have a positive impact on the products you are making. The ability to develop, communicate and get buy-in for products with a strong product vision. Outstanding attention to detail. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Experience managing budgets and overlapping schedules Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and MS Project. Proven ability to manage multi-faceted projects and to maintain focus and clear priorities in a fast paced environment Ability to stay calm under pressure and effectively manage through stress
Additional Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or comparable experience required. Masters Degree in Education, Educational Research, Educational Technology or Educational Software a plus. At least 5 years work experience in multimedia and project management. Experience working with children a plus. Enthusiasm for children’s media and toys.
