Sourcing Manager

Colorbök Inc is a leading consumer products company specializing in Kids Crafts, Stationery & Gift and Scrapbooking products.  We are leaders in design and sell our unique products to major retailers and specialty retail chains worldwide. Our products are manufactured in Asia and received at our distribution center in California or directly imported to our customers. 

 

Colorbök is recruiting for a new position, Sourcing Manager, to ensure our vendor base meets our company cost, quality, capacity & capability objectives and strives to reduce overall cost through material and product analysis.

 

 

Responsibilities include:Source vendor factories that meet cost, quality, capacity and capability needs of the product groups.Develop new sources to support new product types for category needs.Negotiate costing and strive to reduce costs on all itemsEstablish and maintain a documented sourcing process.Create and maintain a process to monitor vendors and develop a business strategy to improve vendor performance.Develop category sourcing plans and implement plans.Negotiate terms and with new vendors.Develop new vendor relations and ensure successful handoff to Purchasing.Manage the activities of international based sourcing including staff in China. Manage domestic sourcing projects.

 

 

The qualified candidate will have the following:BA Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field4-7 years of progressive experience sourcing and purchasing from global manufacturers.Consumer product industry experience is required.Expert MS Office, advanced Excel userDemonstrated strong negotiation skills.
