Senior Payroll Systems Project Leader
Description The candidate’s role will be to lead a cross functional team that implements and maintains technology systems and best business practices with a focus on payroll, from front end time and attendance to check generation and tax reporting. The candidate should display a proven track record of project leadership, system design, implementation, and maintenance to increase business effectiveness, solve problems and assist in achievement of business goals. Experience in the preparation of program specifications, test criteria, project control, and management reporting is required, as is the development of policies, procedures and standards documentation. This role includes the opportunity to work with senior management to improve payroll practices globally. The individual will be required to lead complex projects involving payroll processes, including but not limited to time and attendance, gross pay calculation and gross to net payroll generation. He/She should demonstrate excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, organizational, and project management skills. The ability to drive process re-design and improvements and provide direction to others for the implementation of those improvements is required. The candidate will support the Company’s core competencies of Build Trust, Drive Continuous Improvement, Focus on the End Customer, and Set High Standards of Performance. The candidate must have prior experience working with gross to net payroll application. SAP Payroll background is strongly preferred, as is experience with a time and attendance management system, and a broad background in human resource systems and their integration with payroll processes. The successful candidate will have three to five years of project management experience that includes directing staff and demonstrable project plan and budget adherence. The position will directly supervise and be accountable for a small team of analysts. CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: .Lead project teams on complex projects and handle more than one significant project at a time.Direct, design, and implement computer systems to increase business effectiveness, solve problems, and create new opportunities to achieve business goals. Prepare systems and program specifications, test criteria, project control and management reporting. .Develop and monitor policies, procedures, and standards documents. Provide on-call support of systems. Write and execute scripts to control the execution of systems. Establish service level agreements with customers. Establish and review capacity, utilization and other performance measures to prevent and avoid problems and maintain business continuity. Prepare business case material and capable of presenting to upper management. Subject matter proficiency in many disciplines. Lead the development of comprehensive recovery plan and test it periodically. Works with user management and user project leader to determine systems objectives and solutions. Latitude for independent actions and decisions. Provide updates to Change Management team. Act as a mentor. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business or Supply Chain or related work experience. 2. 7+ years of IT experience. 3. Track Record of accomplishments in project work in one or more IT functional areas. Candidate must have: 7+ years of IT Experience SAP Payroll background.
